Bandaranaike International Airport to Kandy (115km – 02hours 50minutes approx.)

You will be met on arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport by our tour representative, who will assist you with your luggage and guide you to your vehicle where your personal chauffeur awaits. From there, you will be transferred from Bandaranaike International Airport to Kandy.

Next, visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage (Optional – Entrance Fee Supplement Given). The Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage was established to provide shelter and nourishment to abandoned, injured, and maimed elephants. The project’s main focus is the care of abandoned baby elephants who cannot survive without their mothers.

Afterward, proceed to the hotel in Kandy. Following your check-in, embark on a city tour of Kandy. Kandy is the charming hill capital of Sri Lanka and the island’s second-largest city. Located 129 km North-East of Colombo at an elevation of 465 meters above sea level, Kandy is nestled amidst low hills and looped by the Mahaweli River. It serves as the country’s religious and cultural center and is recognized as a World Heritage City.

During the tour, visit a Gem Lapidary in Kandy, where you can learn about Sri Lanka’s renowned gemstones.

In the evening, attend the Kandy Cultural Dance Show (Optional). The Kandy cultural show (Kandy Dance) is one of the most famous evening events, not to be missed when visiting this heritage city. The program starts in the evening and runs for more than an hour. You will be captivated by the traditional drummers and mesmerized by the various art forms from both the upcountry and low country regions of the island. The spectacular fire dancers, folklore performances, demon dancers, and traditional Kandyan dancers provide a breathtaking experience for both locals and visitors.

Commence a city tour of Nuwara Eliya. Nuwara Eliya is the heart of Sri Lanka's hill country. Known as the home of the famous Ceylon Tea, the region’s rolling mountains are a carpet of velvety green tea plantations, interspersed with gushing streams and cascading waterfalls.
